FOURTH BATCH OF SHARE SCHOLARSHIP FOR ASEAN STUDENTS IS NOW OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS

What is SHARE?

SHARE is an EU Grant funded project with an overarching objective to strengthen regional cooperation, enhance the quality, competitiveness and internationalisation of ASEAN higher education institutions and students, contributing to an ASEAN Community beyond 2015. The main aim is to enhance cooperation between the EU and the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and to create lasting benefits from the harmonisation of higher education across ASEAN.

What is a SHARE Scholarship?

The SHARE Scholarship is a scholarship programme for intra-ASEAN and ASEAN-EU mobility. The SHARE partner, Nuffic, is implementing this scholarship programme through short-term (one semester) exchange of students with scholarships. This will be done by providing approximately 500 scholarships, of which 400 scholarships are allocated for intra-ASEAN mobility and 100 scholarships for ASEAN-EU mobility.

 Eligibility
  • Be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at KMUTT
  • Candidate should have completed at least two semesters at KMUTT
  • Candidate must be a national of an ASEAN Member State

HOW TO APPLY

2.Consult your advisor for a study plan and a possibility of credit transfer.

3.Submit “KMUTT Outbound Exchange Application Form” including a set of application materials to your department.

4.Your department will screen out and submit the application package to IA Office.

5.IA will select and interview the successful candidates for the final round.

6.Wait for a result of nomination. If accepted, complete an online application.

  • Mechanism: application via PAC
  • Value: 50% off tuition fee (not including bench fees)

 

MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS

Eligibility: international (non-EU) students on taught masters programmes

Value: as below

  • UCC First Class Honours or equivalent (1H): 20% off tuition fee
  • UCC Second Class Honours, Upper Division or equivalent (2H1): 10% off tuition fee

Scholarship Deadlines:

  • Automatic scholarships will apply only to applications received before 1st March 2017

Scholarship Eligibility & Rules:

  • Applicants may not avail of more than one scholarship. Where an applicant is eligible for more than one scholarship, the scholarship with the higher value will be applied
  • Applicants must be in possession of a full offer to be considered for scholarships
  • Scholarships apply to tuition fees only. Bench fees, if applicable, are not discounted
  • Scholarships will only apply to privately funded/self-funded students (e.g. students with external funding will be charged full international fee)
  • Undergraduate Scholarship is renewable for 4 years (or the duration of course), subject to the student successfully completing each year to the required standard for progression
  • Successful applicants will be required to pay deposit of €2,000 within 21 working days and scholarships may not be used in lieu of the applicants’ deposit
  • New fee and scholarship arrangements should not affect existing agreements with partner universities
  • Quercus postgraduate scholarship applications must be submitted via application form on PAC
  • All scholarships will be determined by the academic unit in which the programme is anchored and will be formally approved by SEFS committee comprising the Head of Graduate School, the Chair of the International Committee, academic representation and representation from the International Office
